1 Compassion for their suffering

Listening to and reading the news, it seems there is no end to the grief being experienced in Israel at this time. Deep, deep pools of it, reaching far into our hearts. The scriptures assure us that weeping endures for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Oh how we long for the joy of that morning to come for our beloved Jewish people.

Their hearts must often echo the psalmist’s cry, ”Loved one and friend You have put far from me, And my acquaintances into darkness.” Ps. 88:18 NKJ.

But we all have the assurances of Ps 126:5,6 “Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.”

And Ps. 30:11-12 “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.”

As Adonai appeared to Moshe in the middle of a blazing fire Ex. 3:2, He can appear to them, may they hear His call, even as He heard their call in distress before in Ex. 3:7,9 and had compassion on them for their suffering and affliction. There is someone greater than Moshe waiting for them to turn aside and see, and as YHVH led Moshe to lead His people Ex. 3:12 so that they could worship Him, He will come to the mountain again for them to worship Him.

The scriptures teach that the word will go out from Zion. As Moshe spoke to Aharon and then Adonai put words in both their mouths Ex 4:15,16, Even if they feel inadequate and are threatened as Moshe was Ex. 3:11; 4:1,10, let the Jewish nation witness to each other, spreading the Word of God and becoming that ‘Light to the nations’. They have pain and loss and need a realignment of their dreams, but they do have a choice, to bear it on their own or turn to YHVH. Maybe death exists as a deadline that forces the issue, so that you have to seek and learn what is there to learn, before you die. It seems as if Adonai has chosen the most unpromising places in which to reveal Himself in might and power, but let our prayers encourage them to go forward.

Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”

The last stanza of a hymn comes to mind; ‘When I tread the verge of Jordan, Bid my anxious fears subside; Death of death and hells destruction, Land me safe on Canaan’s side. Songs of praise, SONGS OF PRAISE

I will ever give to You.”

Y YHVH we know that You will send Mashiach Yahshua again and that Yahshua has left HaRuach HaKodesh to reveal Himself to all. Your people are in a spiritual Egypt, dying with the Schema on their lips and Psalms in their hearts. Reveal Mashiach to them.

2. Further report back on Solidarity Rally.

We would thank Abba that prayers are being answered. This week an opportunity arose for one of our intercessors to share on a one to one basis with Kenneth and his wife. Emails outlining the true facts and a book were given him, and the prophetic biblical scriptures discussed. We are grateful and know that Elohim has quickened something that will not return void.

Contact has also been furthered with the S.A. Zionist Federation for which much more prayer is needed.

Y Adonai our hearts rejoice for the opportunities You give to share truth. We pray for our government and for the time You will give to Kenneth to share with members about Israel.

Y Elohim we also lift up the Zionist Fed. To You, thanking you for relationship that can be built. We acknowledge that although Israel, Sharon and the I.D.F. may sometimes make mistakes, we stand with them and desire to see the fulfilment of Your promises for them.

3. Call for fast 9 Av

Below is the report calling for a fast;

Dear Watchman:

Greetings from Jerusalem! Thank you for standing with Jerusalem and Israel in these last days.

We sent out a Call to Fast and Pray last year from the 17th of Tammuz until the 9th of Av which, this year, are June 27th - July 18th 2002 and are directed to do this again. The challenges of today make it very important that we fast and pray corporately as Watchmen world wide for God's protection and salvation especially over Jerusalem and Israel but also the Middle East and all nations during this three week season of the year.

We encourage you to join this time of fasting and prayer and call believers in your nation to also join as God leads.

Thus says the LORD of hosts, "The fast of the fourth, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth (months) will become joy, gladness and cheerful feasts for the house of Judah; so love truth and peace." Zech. 8:19

The fast of the fourth month was to be conducted on the 17th of Tammuz representing a day of mourning because of the capture of Jerusalem and the various other calamitous events that took place on this date. The fast of the fifth month was to take place on the 9th of AV because of the historical tragedies that occurred on this date. These periods of mourning and fasting were to be conducted until the promise of the coming restoration of Judah and the Messianic Kingdom

We encourage all of you to seek Adonai for how you are to fast, but feel that the 9th Av [Tisha B’Av – 18 July] being the most important date requires participation from most of us

May the name of YHVH be blessed forever and ever.

4. Saying Good-bye

For a while now, I Blanche have heard Adonai calling me aside but this last Shabbat a very clear word came through scripture, which I quote here “Come, my [child], enter your chamber, and shut the door behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past.” Isaiah 26:20 I waited for confirmation that came in a phone call from a friend and I knew that I had heard correctly and needed to be obedient. So this will be the last prayer alert written by me, Cherilyn and Willem together will be continuing with Bethlehem Gate sending out the alert every second Shabbat for now I take this opportunity to thank all of you for your faithful intercession for Israel and the Jewish nation, and your faithful support of me in everyway.

I know that you will continue to support Bethlehem Gate in the ministry that YHVH has laid on Cherilyn’s, Willem’s and your hearts. May Adonai bless you and keep you, May His face shine upon you, and give you strength.
